Concert Tomorrow!!

Just a reminder of the concert tomorrow featuring the Junior, Senior and Jazz Bands.  There will be a dress rehearsal (students only need to wear white and black for the night show) at approximately 1:50 p.m. in the gym for those of you who cannot attend the night show.  Hope to see you there :)

Concert

Just a reminder of the concert this coming Tuesday, December 9th at 6:30 p.m.  Come and enjoy the musicical talents of the Junior, Senior and Jazz band.  There will be a dress rehearsal at 1:30 for those who can't make the show at night.  Students are asked to wear their black pants and white shirts for the evening show.  Grade 6 students should arrive at 6 p.m. and grade 7 and 8 arrive at 6:15 p.m.   Thanks

Poinsettias

Don't forget poinsettia orders will be in tomorrow.  They can be picked up at the school between 2-6 :)

Poinsettia Sales

The students that sold poinsettias did a great job!!  Our plants will be arriving on Thursday, December 4th.  The plants can be picked up at the school between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.  A sign will be in the front lobby giving directions to where the plants are being kept.  Thanks again for supporting the students in the band.

Grade 8's

Students will have a playing test on line 45 starting with 8R on Monday, December 1st and 8F on Tuesday, December 2nd.

Winter Concert

Our Winter Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at 6:30 p.m.  Please come and enjoy the music of our Junior, Jazz and Senior Bands.  We will have a dress rehearsal during the day with the time to be announced.  Hope to see you there. 

Senior Band Poinsettia Sales

Just a reminder that you have one more weekend to sell poinsettias to help pay for your trip in May.  Please have all the order forms and money in by Monday, November 24th.  I am still looking for some parents to assist with counting the orders up on that Monday.  If you can help please send in the form or call the office.  I am posting the forms sent home with the students incase you need more forms.  Thanks

Senior Band - Poinsettias

Poinsettia orders were sent home with the Senior Band Memebers yesterday.  Sales will start Friday, November 7 and run until Sunday, November 23rd.  All orders are due on Monday, November 24th.  Orders will be delivered sometime during the week of December 1st.  A note will be sent home with the exact date that they need to be picked up and delivered to the customers. 
I am looking for parent volunteers to help with the counting of orders.  If you can assist please send back the note attached to the poinsettia package or leave a message at the school office.  Thanks :)

Grade 5 and 4/5

Grade 4/5M and 5H will have their first playing tests coming up this week on line 17, Hot Cross Buns.  I will be looking for students to know the names and fingerings of the notes for the song and correct pitching of the notes, paticularly for the brass students.

Copies of the most recent theory assignments are posted in the Assignment section for grades 6, 7 and 8.  They are always due the class after the playing tests have been completed.

Senior Band

A reminder that there will be no rehearsal this coming Tuesday, October 14....we will resume rehearsals the following week.  Have you practiced your music at home?? :)

Attention Grade 6's

Junior Band will begin this Wednesday morning, October 8th at 8 a.m.  Please arrive by 7:50 a.m. to get set up and wait for me in the lobby.  Hope to see you there:)

Assignments

Just a reminder to the classes that just finished their playing tests, all theory assignments are due this coming week at your first class.

Test rescheduling

The tests set for Thursday, September 25th (8F and 7A) have been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 30 for 8F and Wednesday, October 1 for 7A.

Welcome Back!!

Cedar Point!!

The time has finally arrived.  Looking forward to a great day with all the Senior Band members and parents at the Trills and Thrills competition at Cedar Point.  It's supposed to be a beautiful day...don't forget your sun screen ... See you early in the morning at 6 AM... Don't forget appropriate movies for the bus :)

SPRING CONCERT DATE CHANGE

Due to some scheduling issues the Spring Concert date has been changed from Thursday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 14.  The start time will remain the same 6:30.  Juniors are asked to arrive at 6 pm with seniors arriving before 6:15 pm.  We will have a dress rehearsal at 2 pm that same day if parents are unable to attend the evening concert. 

Concert attire - for the evening show 

Juniors - white top, black pants or skirt and black shoes ( Sanctuary Drummers are asked to wear their Drumming shirts)

Seniors - white top, ties for the gentlemen, black pants/skirt with black shoes

Grade 7 Playing Test

Just a reminder that Senior Band is cancelled tomorrow Tuesday, February 25th.

Junior Band

Just a reminder that rehearsal is cancelled on Monday, February 10th and there will be no rehearsal on Monday, February 17 due to The Family Day Holiday.  Rehearsals will resume on Monday, Februray 24th. 

Just A Reminder

If busses are ever cancelled due to weather... Band rehearsals in the morning are cancelled.  If busses are cancelled in the morning due to fog and will run after school...rehearsals will still be held.  Thanks

Due to the weather issues the last few days and I haven't had a chance to touch base with any of you.... I've cancelled tomorrow mornings rehearsal and we will begin next week.  Thanks!!
